1. Who We Are

Adulting.Ph is operated by Symph, Inc., a software company based in the Philippines. We provide step-by-step guides, life-stage bundles, AI-Assisted Chat, a PDF Form Filler for government forms, and interactive planning tools to help Filipinos navigate government processes and other adulting tasks.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Email address and display name when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
• Profile data: Display name, profile photo (if uploaded), and owned guides or bundles.
• Usage data: Which guides you view, your step-by-step progress, and reminders you create.
• Form fill data: Information you enter into the PDF Form Filler is used solely to generate your pre-filled PDF. We do not permanently store your form responses after the session ends.
• AI chat data: Messages you send to AI-Assisted Chat are processed by our AI provider to generate a response. AI-Assisted Chat is scoped to guides you own and is not a general-purpose assistant. We do not store chat history on our servers.
• Interactive tool data: Information you enter into interactive planning tools is used solely to generate your personalized output. We do not permanently store your inputs after the session ends.
• Device data: Browser type, device type, and general location (country level) via standard web analytics.
• Payment data: Payments are processed by our payment provider, which supports card payments and QR code payments. We store a record of which guides and bundles you have purchased, but we do not store credit card, debit card, or e-wallet credentials.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the service (guides, bundles, reminders, AI-Assisted Chat, PDF form filling, and interactive planning tools).
• Send email notifications for reminders you set.
• Manage your account and track which guides and bundles you own.
• Improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns.
• Respond to support requests.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Adulting.Ph:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage.
• Google Cloud Platform: Hosting and infrastructure.
• Anthropic: Powers the AI-Assisted Chat feature. Messages sent to AI-Assisted Chat are processed by Anthropic's API and are scoped to guides you own. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Resend: Email delivery for reminder notifications.
• SymphPay: Payment processing for guide and bundle purchases. SymphPay supports card payments and QR code payments (GCash, Maya). We do not store your payment credentials.
• PostHog: Product analytics to understand how users interact with the app. Data is anonymized and used only to improve the product.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Guide progress is stored in your account on our servers so it persists across devices. Reminders are stored in our database and can be deleted by you at any time. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and download your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate information (via your profile page).
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Opt out of non-essential emails.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use a minimal authentication cookie to maintain your login session.

We use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand how visitors use Adulting.ph. Analytics tracking is only enabled after you give consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics data is sent. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and localStorage for this site.

7a. Analytics & Tracking Technologies

With your consent, we load the following analytics and marketing services:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): Collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and device type. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
• PostHog: Collects anonymized product usage data to help us understand user behavior and improve the app. Data is hosted by PostHog and processed in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.): With your consent, we load the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. This may collect data about pages visited and actions taken on our site. Data is processed by Meta in accordance with their Privacy Policy. You can opt out via the cookie banner or through your Facebook ad preferences.

Marketing tags only fire after you give consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, no advertising data is collected.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, Firebase Authentication, and Firestore security rules to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

9. Children

Adulting.Ph is designed for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
